2. What exactly does BIA/OC do?

BIA/OC is part of the BIA of Southern California.  As a whole, the Association serves the homebuilding industry for all of Southern California in many ways including advocacy on important issues, education of our members on current practices, trends and changes forthcoming, and working with committees to resolve industry wide issues.

3. What benefits come with a BIA Membership?

There are a number of benefits that come with your BIA Membership.  Click here to learn more about BIA Member Benefits.

4. How can I sign up to receive the BIA/OC Calendar of Events?

To be permanently added to our mailing list you must be an employee of a BIA/Southern California member company. However, non-members are welcome to attend a limit of two events in a year, which have not been designated as a “Members Only” meeting, in order to learn more about the association.  You can view our online events listing here.

5. If my co-worker is a BIA/OC member, am I also a member?

Yes. Once a company becomes a member, all of its employees are considered members and enjoy all the same privileges as the primary BIA contact. To be added to our mailing list for events and announcements please email Laura Barber.

6. What do I get for joining BIA/OC and why should I?

Please see the Value Equation section to get a clear idea of what the return on your BIA investment will be. Also, immediately after joining you will receive access to BuilderFusion, the online membership directory, a highly valuable resource you can access from any computer, any time. You will also receive a new member email containing general BIA information and details on how to maximize your membership.

7. Who is eligible to serve on BIA/OC Committees?

All BIASC members are encouraged to volunteer on any of our Committees. Please be aware that service on our committees is a privilege of membership and will require regular attendance and participation.

8. When will my membership expire if I join today?

Your BIA/OC membership expires 12 months after your join date, and for your convenience you will receive a membership renewal invoice 60 days prior to the anniversary of your joining BIA.
