Marketing and Business Development Manager

Job Description:
The Marketing and Business Development Manager is responsible for; creating and executing the business development strategy of the company, cultivating a culture of collaboration, and assisting MDC division leaders in executing their business development strategy, and digital and traditional marketing efforts.


Responsibilities – General:

  • Assist MDC division leaders with creating and executing business development strategy

  • Submit progress reports to Executive team on:

    • Potential Clients | Prospects

    • Competitors

    • Service Activity | Requests | Business Trends

    • Marketing Asset Performance

 

  • Present to and consult with the Directors and Executive Team on business trends with a view to developing new services, products and distribution channels.

  • Using knowledge of the market and competitors, identify and develop the company’s unique selling propositions and differentiators and work with Directors to articulate such.

  • Attend industry functions, such as association events (i.e. BIA, ULI, CMAA, etc.) and conferences, and provide feedback and information on market and creative trends.

  • Research and develop a thorough understanding of the company’s people and capabilities.

  • Understand the company’s goal and purpose so that will continue to enhance the company’s performance.

  • Responsible for the establishment and approval of the annual marketing budget.

  • Maintain an ongoing “industries we support” list, (ie, Real Estate Development, Municipal Agencies, etc)

  • Identify high value, strategic industry sponsorships, ads, events to sponsor and/or attend.

  • Cultivate the necessary PO requests for company approval.

  • Source, develop and confirm team member’s participation (where and when applicable)

  • Presence and participation in marketing activities

Director of Credit & Reimbursements

Job Description:


The Director of Credit & Reimbursements oversees management of all credit and/or reimbursement packages for private (i.e. land developer) and public (i.e. government agencies) financing programs (CFD, TUMF, RBBD, etc.). The director is responsible for the overall development of audit/submittal package, coordinate efforts with various staff members (i.e. Engineering Firms, Title Insurance Agencies, Lead Agency Representatives, Developer Representatives, etc.), identify the cost obligations and ultimately maximize the benefits of the financing program. The Director of Credit & Reimbursements reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer (“COO”).

Administrative Assistant

Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to the office staff, including project manager, marketing, accounting and other construction management staff

  • Act as a point of contact for vendors, subcontractors, and homeowners with regard to customer service needs, scheduling appointments and tracking

  • Answer incoming phone calls and responding to emails in a professional manner

  • Execute clerical and general office duties such as setting up filing systems, data entry, typing, copying, ordering office supplies, opening mail and other administrative tasks Qualifications

  • High school diploma is required - additional college such as an associate’s degree or bachelor’s degree is very valuable

  • 2 years of experience of administrative experience is needed - previous administrative duties in a real estate office is ideal

  • Familiarity with the construction industry is desired, but not required

  • Excellent time management, organization, and communication skills are needed

  • Proficient in computer skills, especially MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)

  • Notary License a plus

Controller

Melia Homes is looking for a Controller at their Irvine office that includes these responsibilities and requirements:

  • Minimum of 10 years of home building experience

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or economics

  • CPA or MSA preferred

  • Responsible for maintaining all policies and procedures in order to protect the company's assets

  • Manage corporate and project specific cash balances

  • Timely preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements

  • Serve as lead contact with our outside CPA firm

  • Review the general ledger & job cost reports as well as help manage the monthly budget review process

  • Directly manage the accounting department

  • Strong organizational skills and have the ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize work

  • Excellent computer skills and experience with Sage 300

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Ability to grow into the CFO position in a few years with the eventual retirement of the current CFO

  • Salary range $150,000- $175,000 + bonus

Subdivision Design Engineer

Hunsaker & Associates is looking for a Subdivision Design Engineer.  Hunsaker & Associates, an established planning, civil engineering, and surveying firm has opportunities in our Irvine, Riverside, and Los Angeles, California offices for Design Engineers with experience in Land Development. Candidate should have the following qualifications:

  • 5-7 years proven design experience in – Subdivision Design and Roadway and Utility Infrastructure Design

  • Knowledge of Orange County, Riverside County, San Bernardino County, and Los Angeles County Design Standards.

  • Ideally a licensed Professional Engineer (PE), or minimum EIT working towards PE.

  • Proven design experience utilizing AutoCAD.

  • Hold a university degree in Engineering.

  • Excellent communication skills – verbal and written

  • Team player

  • Current CA driver’s license
