Secretary Rosario Marin Speaks to BIA/OC

IRVINE, CA –On Friday, March 16, 2007 Secretary Rosario Marin, California State and Consumer Services Agency, who also serves as chair, and member of the California Building Standards Commission will be the featured keynote speaker for the Building Industry Association of Southern California/Orange County Chapter’s California ICC Code Adoption Update.
Part of the 2006 Building Code Update Series, this luncheon will review new changes effective in 2007 and will feature keynote speaker: Secretary Rosario Marin from the California State and Consumer Services Agency. Panelists will include Tom Morrison, Deputy Executive Director of the California Building Standards Commission and Doug Hensel, Associate Deputy Director, Codes and Standards, Housing Community Development organization. This luncheon will benefit project managers, architects, engineers and building officials.
Secretary Marin, along with her staff, will be addressing the new building codes and standards adopted by the State of California and their impacts on residential development.
This event will take place at the Irvine Marriott (18000 Von Karman, Irvine 92612) from 11:30a.m. to 1:30p.m.
