Q: What exactly does BIA/OC do?
A: BIA/OC is the Orange County Chapter of the Building Industry Association
of Southern California and we serve the homebuilding industry of Orange County in many ways including advocacy on important issues, education of our members on current practices, trends and changes forthcoming, and working with committees to resolve industry wide issues, to name a few. Q: How can I sign up to receive the BIA/OC Calendar of Events?
A: To be permanently added to our mailing list you must be a BIA member. However, non-members are welcome at all events which have not been designated as a “Members Only” meeting and can view a copy of the calendar by clicking here.

Q: If my co-worker is a BIA/OC member, am I also a member?
A: Yes. Once a company becomes a member, all of its employees are considered members and enjoy all the same privileges as the primary BIA contact. To be added to our mailing list for events and announcements please email Philly Pemberton, Events Manager.

Q: What do I get for joining BIA/OC and why should I?
A: Please see the Value Equation section to get a clear idea of what the return on your BIA investment will be. Also, immediately after joining you will receive the Building Industry Guide which contains current contact information for all BIA/SC members in Southern California and you will be given a username and password for the new Builder Fusion online database, a highly valuable resource you can access from any computer, any time. In addition to the Building Industry Guide you can also request a current roster and free set of mailing labels from the chapter in which you hold a primary membership. You will also receive a new member kit containing general BIA information, the latest edition of Southern California Builder magazine and details on how our Affinity Partners can save your company money with their exclusive BIA programs and services.

Q: Who is eligible to serve on BIA/OC Committees?
A: All BIA/OC members are encouraged to volunteer on one of our Committees. Please be aware that service on our committees is a privilege of membership and will require regular attendance and participation.

Q: When will my membership expire if I join today?
A: Your BIA/OC membership expires 12 months after your join date. But we are confident that if you take full advantage of the opportunities available to you as a BIA/OC member, you will want to renew your membership continuously.
